Accessibility Statement

Declaration on accessibility

We are committed to making our website accessible in accordance with the current version of the Accessibility Act (Barrierefreiheitsgesetz), which implements the European Accessibility Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services.

This accessibility statement applies to: www.hotel-obergurgl-gurglhof.com

For detailed information regarding contractual terms (description of our services, explanation of how they are carried out), please visit: https://www.hotel-obergurgl-gurglhof.com/recht/agb/

Status of Compliance with the Requirements

This website is partially compliant with the WCAG 2.2 Level AA and the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 due to the following incompatibilities and/or exceptions.

Non-accessible Content

The following content is not accessible for the following reasons:

a) Incompatibility with Accessibility Requirements

  • Some non-text content on non-booking-relevant pages currently lacks text alternatives, partially violating criterion 1.1.1 – Text Alternatives. It is planned to provide appropriate text alternatives for all such content.

Incompatibilities are reviewed regularly to ensure ongoing improvements and timely implementation of necessary adjustments to enable accessible use.

b) Disproportionate Burden

  • Input fields in the application form on the career page lack labels or ARIA attributes, failing to meet the following criteria:

    1.3.5 – Identify Input Purpose
    2.4.6 – Headings and Labels
    2.5.3 – Label in Name
    3.3.2 – Labels or Instructions
    4.1.2 – Name, Role, Value
Additionally, the form fails to meet:

    3.3.1 – Error Identification
    3.3.3 – Error Suggestion
    4.1.3 – Status Messages
As this form is intended exclusively for job applicants and not booking-related, fully redesigning it would represent a disproportionate burden.

  • At 200% zoom, some text elements in the header overlap, violating criterion 1.4.4 – Resize Text. Fixing this would require a website redesign, which constitutes a disproportionate burden.

  • At 200% zoom, a horizontal scrollbar appears in the submenu, violating criterion 1.4.10 – Reflow. A fix would also require redevelopment and is considered a disproportionate burden.

  • When adjusting text spacing (including line height, paragraph spacing, letter, and word spacing), some footer links overlap. This violates criterion 1.4.12 – Text Spacing. Addressing this would require a full redesign, representing a disproportionate burden.

c) Content Outside the Scope of Applicable Legislation

  • The website includes older documents and content that are not accessible. As they were published before June 28, 2025, they are exempt from the requirements of the Accessibility Act, and no comprehensive adaptations are currently planned.
  • The website contains documents and content from third-party providers that were neither developed, funded, nor controlled by us. We cannot guarantee their accessibility, and these are also exempt from the Accessibility Act.
