The ski resort Obergurgl / Hochgurgl

Top Quality Skiing in the Ötztal

The Obergurgl Hochgurgl ski area is almost hidden at the end of the Ötztal valley and it remains, thankfully, an insiders’ tip. Far away from the masses, the Obergurgl ski area extends over wide, open slopes and provides numerous different ways to ski in all difficulty grades. In total there are 110 kilometres of diverse pistes available and waiting to be discovered by you. To take you up the mountain as quickly as possible, there are 24 lifts in the Obergurgl Hochgurgl ski area that can take you up quickly and conveniently to start your next descent. You can test your stamina with the eight-kilometre downhill run leading from the Wurmkogel at 3,080 metres altitude all the way down into the valley! Incidentally, the valley is still at 1,800 metres altitude – something that guarantees the snow lasts that little bit longer here in Obergurgl.

Skiing at the Diamond of the Alps

Together with the pros from the ski schools, you can take on an unforgettable downhill run on deep snow, complete a ski tour and enjoy stopping off for a bite at the restaurants and panoramic bars of the Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski area. The Top Mountain Star is a real jewel, which offers a stunning 360-degree view of the Ötztal mountains – including over 170 mountains above 3000 metres – at an altitude of 3,080 metres above sea level.

Hohe Mut

The Hohe Mut, with its traditional Hohe Mut Pasture, is also well worth a visit, as it is regarded as having one of the best views of all the mountains in Tyrol. The world looks wonderful amid the magic of winter around your ski hotel in Obergurgl. Enjoy the experience to the full.
